It all started in Mrs. Salerno's Accelerated Art class in 2015. We learned a technique she dubbed, "The Doodle Page" also known as "Zen Tangles". You start with a scribble, then build on that scribble using shapes, lines, and playing with negative space. I fell in love with this pop-art, comic book like style, because there are no mistakes. Any smudge, missed line, or "wrong" shape is actually an opportunity to create something complex and beautiful. Art is creation, art is beauty, art is feeling, and there are no mistakes.

Hailing from Edison Park, Chicago, I started Loose Springsteen Art (aside from the fact "Loose Springsteen" is objectively hilarious) to have a creative outlet. I like to put on music and just get lost in my thoughts while I make my art. As I became older and acquired tattoos, I became more fascinated with black line work. I'm specifically drawn to comic book style with bold black lines and cross hatching. My main source of inspiration is Watchmen and V for Vendetta. I would love to be a tattoo artist one day, but until then, I'll be over here, happily drawing, designing, and making my art <3
